Marine Blue Butterfly
This tiny little butterfly is smaller than a dime I took this image in Patagonia Arizona while hiking on a trail they love the zinnias.

This is a timelapse image that has accumulated over an hour. With the north star being in the center of the sky and earth rotating throughout the night, an open shutter or timelapse shows the rotation of earth as the stars move! Shot in Saguaro National Park West.
This image was taken on Mt Lemmon one early morning in February when the milkyway was first visible before sunrise. I was actually with a client conducting a private workshop when we witnessed this scene after a 1 mile hike into the desert. The bright dot you see above the mountains is actually the moon rising with the milkyway which created a stunning composition!
Snow in the desert is one of my favorite things to shoot! We’ve been getting more snow than ever recently but usually this event happens once or twice every 3-5 years. I just loved this scene with sun hitting the Rincon Mountains with the leftover snow from that morning.
