Black background burrowing owls are one of my favorite birds to photograph every spring for the past 7 to 8 years I go looking for these little amazing raptors. The most babies I’ve seen in one season from the one pair of parents is eight a large number for the little borrowers. I have several locations to go to. I love how this image turned out this is the female parent.
I was down Madera (Canyon) and a friend got a call from somebody that had a family of Bobcats living in their back ravine. And I went and there was a mother with four babies, and she went and got a rabbit and fed to the babies. But I took a lot of photos that day, and it was really cool. You don’t get those kind of opportunities in the wild very often, so that was very cool.
