Located way out in the Tucson desert where there is almost no light pollution, this scene was captured showing the bright milkyway over our iconic saguaros. This is my favorite milkyway image and has become one of my most popular.Â
This is one of my favorites. I just love how the Prickly Pears are bloowing on the cactus with the milkyway above! Photographed at Saguaro National Park West.
This image was taken in Saguaro National Park East one morning at the Broadway Trailhead location. I hiked in about 2 miles to find this composition at 3 am and just love how the moon created this epic glow above the Saguaros!Â

Ironwood Forest National Monument is made up of 129,000 acres and contains a significant system of cultural and historical sites covering a 5,000-year period. Possessing one of the richest stands of ironwood in the Sonoran Desert, the monument also encompasses several desert mountain ranges including the Silver Bell, Waterman, and Sawtooth, with desert valleys in between. This is one of my favorite places to photograph due to the ragged top mountains and desert vistas!
