Meet Kathleen Arthur on the Meet The Artist Event

Join us for an evening of art and inspiration at the Tucson Gallery’s Meet the Artist event, featuring the works of local Tucson artist Kathleen Arthur. This event will take place on May 26 from 5pm to 7pm at our Downtown Tucson location on 300 East Congress Street.

Kathleen Arthur is a skilled artist who creates portraiture of women dressed to the hilt while performing challenging or laborious tasks. An amusing double-entendre title is assigned to each painting, describing a strong character trait. Using a medium of acrylic paint on a cotton canvas, a realistic figure is brought to the forefront, while textures of lace and patterns peep through a whimsical white background.

This event is a special opportunity to meet Kathleen in person, ask questions, and view her portraits up close. She will be gladly taking requests and suggestions for upcoming portraits, and refreshments will be served.
